INKE participates in Community Social Enterprise Initiatives by SENSE
INKE is proud to announce the receipt of a token presented by Minister for Community Development and Sports and Minister-in-charge of Muslim Affairs, Assoc Prof Yaacob Ibrahim. The token presented is an appreciation for companies which support and participate in one of the Social Enterprise Network Singapore (Sense) program – Community Social Enterprise Initiatives, a social project in creating employment opportunities for the Malay community. The ceremony was held on 4th May 2007 at Hajjah Maimunah Resturant, Joo Chiat Road.
SENSE joined INKE as one of the franchisees in September, 2006. This project aims to provide youths with an opportunity to be an entrepreneur. SENSE hopes that through this tie-up, the youths are able to operate their INKE refilling business with the help of professional, technical and commercial training support from INKE.

Nilgiris – Where the beautiful Blue Mountains are
Nilgiris, a place where mountains pan across the states of Tamil Nadu and Kerala in Southern India, is a wonderful place to visit for nature lovers. Many call this place a fairyland for its mountainous peaks, lush green forest, sparkling streams, emerald green plains, breath-taking view of waterfalls, valleys and glades. Occasional maintenance will prolong the lifespan of your printer
How often have you been using your inkjet printer? Are you aware that your print head nozzle can be clogged when they are not frequently used?
Cartridges expose to air over a period of time can cause print head nozzle to dry out. It is essential to perform an occasional tune-up if the printer has not been used for some time. Streak lines or poor colours on the printouts indicate that the print head nozzles are clogged and it’s time to do a nozzle check.
How to check
- Under printer settings, check ‘Print Test Page’ option (different printer model may label it differently), and allow the printer to do a test print.
- If the printouts are faint or certain colors fail to print, test the print heads by performing a nozzle check – print ‘Diagnostic Page’.
- If the printout shows gaps (refer to picture), it indicates that some of the nozzles are clogged.
- Perform nozzle cleaning by opting ‘Clean Print Cartridge/ Head’ option.
- Repeat process 2. If the printout shows gaps again, perform process 3 till the number of gaps on the printout is minimized.
Tip: Nozzle checks must be performed more than once in order to have better quality printouts.
Ways to prevent printing problems
- Use your printer on regular basis. It helps to regulate and unclog dry ink trapped in the nozzle.
- Print your documents both black and color at least once a week.
- Remind yourself to perform a colorful print by placing a sticky note on your computer.
- Always keep printer away from dust to prevent them from entering the cartridge.
Tip: Printing color page consumes lesser ink than running print head cleaning cycles.
